We flew out to California for Summer and Eldis's second reception at my parents house. Flying all alone with a baby and a lay over = a whole lot a work! It was good practice. Surely it will get easier each time... Maybe? Actually thanks to my good friend, Infant Benadryl (1/4 teaspoon), she wasn't that bad. It's more the carrying all the crap, plus push the stroller, plus hold sleeping baby (in one exhausted arm), that wore me out. Anyways, we made it! And we had a blast at grandma and gramps! Scott met us out there a few days into our trip, which made it all the better.
I got to catch up with a few of my best friends from high school, Cindy and Whitney. Holy cow, I missed those girls so much. We had so much fun in the short time we were able to spend together. They both doted over Scarlett. So glad she got to meet such huge parts of my childhood/teenagehood. They are the best.
The reception turned out beautiful, bride and groom looked amazing! Eldis's mom (Zana) and sister (Darlina) were able to make it out from Albainia and we were so glad they were there. Scarlett loves Eldis's mom. She held her for a good portion of our trip.
