4th of July

The 4th of July just happens to be my favorite holiday! Such a wonderful and patriotic time of year. I absolutely love July for this reason. It seems like it lasts through the whole month. Especially since out here in Utah, Pioneer day (the 24th) almost feels like a second 4th of July. You just can't beat fireworks, BBQ, the red, white and blue everywhere, family time. It reminds me how proud I am to be an American!
This year was Scar's first 4th experience. It was a success! We spent the entire day with family. We kicked off the day by watching the Provo parade with grandma and grandpa P, great grandma P and Kev and Brig. After that, we headed over to a park and literally played volleyball and picniced all day long. It was Scott's perfect day (the v-ball all day long part;). The only downfall was right before we went to watch fireworks, Scar started throwing up. Like every ounce of liquid that could possibly be in her tine body. She couldn't even keep 5 drops of water down. It was so sad, but she acted totally happy between purges. We took her home and tried all night to get some pedia-lite in her. Nothing would stay down for more than 5 minutes. Eventually we took her to the emergency room for fear of dehydration. They gave her some anti-nausea meds. Soon after, she was fine. Scott and I caught the bug over the next few days. So sweet of her to share ;). Besides the sick part, it was a great day. God bless the USA!

This was actually the night before at the "Freedom Festival"

Also the "Freedom Festival"

Just stretching while she watches the parade

And the sick baby's first throw up of the night. Right on daddy! We really had no idea she was sick, because she was so happy all day. Sweet little thing.
2am emergency room visit

Such a good sport

So sad :(. Broke our hearts seeing her sick. She guzzled that pedia-lite after taking meds.  So happy it was only a 24 hour deal.
