March 2013/ Hawaii

March was a fun filled month! Scott and I took a trip to Hawaii leaving our little bug behind. Hardest thing ever!!! But a good recharge and came back feeling like a better mama. My awesome mom (Nonna) came out and took care of Scarlett, so I knew she was in great hands. Obviously Nonna spoiled her rotten. It took a few weeks to get back into the swing of things. We went with some of our best friends, the Millers as well as the Lohmeier's and a group of others we didn't meet until the trip. It was such a blast. We even went shark diving! I felt super brave since sharks are in my top five most terrifying things in the world. On our way out to the shark dive we saw Wales about 50 yards from our boat. It was an amazing and beautiful sight! Beaches were gorgeous and the weather was great. Our house was on the North Shore of Oahu. Absolutely stunning area! Great trip, great memories.

We also took a fun little trip down to St. George with our good friends, the Kellers. This was over Easter. Wish I got more pics in St. George! I was really sick that trip and only snapped a few.

March was absolutely an eventful month.

Our sweet and sassy little girl gets smarter by the day. She has all kinds of tricks down and her pediatrician says she's ahead of the game! This seems to be true since she is quite the chatter box and picks up new words daily. She loves talking to strangers and makes new friends everywhere we go. She still however, has no interest in walking. Her little pants and leggings all get stains and holes in all the knees! Other than that, I really don't care. Take your time and crawl until your little heart is content! Below are a couple months worth of a first time mom's pics. In other words, yes I take a picture of every little thing. Enjoy!

Big News!

It's a new year! And an exciting one at that. We have some big changes coming up. Starting with... Scarlett is going to be a big sister! We are thrilled to be having another little one this September. The goal was have our first two close together so they could be great little buds. We cannot express how happy we are about this new little baby on the way. Even the bug seems excited...

So this was how I told Scott... My friend Natalie helped me make one onsie that says "big sister" on it. That day, I put Scarlett in the onsie and down for a nap late in the day. I waited until he got home and had him go get her from her crib. It took him a while to actually read the shirt and then he said "Wait, really?! Awww, good job honey!". Good job honey?? Good job to you too my love! Takes two to make these things ;). A shocked response I suppose. Baby number two, we are so excited for you!

Christmas 2012

Here we go catching up on months of family events, new Scarlett stats and big news! Let's start with Christmas.
This was the bugs second Christmas. This year we spent it with the Peterson side. It was a great time and a beautiful white Christmas! I was pretty excited about the snow since this was my third Utah Christmas and the others have not been white. Thank you mother nature for that;). It was so fun watching Scarlett open gifts. She got the hang of it pretty quickly, then started signing and saying "more, more" after each one. Greedy child! But really... I'm pretty sure she just liked the wrapping paper. Here are some pics of our fun Christmas morning, but the first is one from when we took her to meet Santa. She was the only kid that didn't cry! My little social butterfly.
